Summer 2026 NCI GA-YES Program Application

This is a free program with a competitive application process where you will participate in a 6 week faculty-mentored research program at Emory University. The program will occur from June 1 to July 21, 2026 and is open to rising junior or senior high school students in Cherokee County, GA (must be 16 years old by June 1, 2026).  


Attendance every day is mandatory and transportation to and from Emory's campus is provided. Generally, students will arrive at the designated meeting point around 7:30am and will arrive back to the same spot around 5:30pm (subject to traffic).

Teacher Reference

Provide a teacher's name and email address that we can use for a reference. This teacher should be familiar with your work and preferably is a STEM teacher. Please obtain agreement from teacher to write letter for you prior to submitting application. Teachers should send the reference letter to info@ga-science.org. They will receive an email request, but are also welcome to send in the letter at any time. They should include your name and the program name (GA-YES) in the subject line of the email.
